Warmed to body temperature at 35°C, hitohadakan creates an intimate, almost indistinguishable warmth when sipped. The sake feels like a natural extension of the body. Umami deepens noticeably, sweetness rounds out, and the texture becomes silky and enveloping. Many toji consider this the ideal temperature for kimoto and yamahai styles.
