Imanishi Sake Brewery in Nara city produces the Harushika (Spring Deer) brand, named after the sacred deer of Nara Park. Located in the historic Naramachi district near the Todai-ji temple, the brewery uses subterranean water from the Kasuga primeval forest aquifer. Their dry, crisp style has earned repeated gold medals at the Annual Japan Sake Awards.
