Aizu Homare (Pride of Aizu) in Kitakata is one of Fukushima's larger and most decorated breweries. Their Junmai Daiginjo won the IWC Champion Sake trophy in 2015, dramatically raising Fukushima's international profile after the 2011 disaster. Using Bandai mountain water and premium rice, they produce a wide range from everyday sakes to competition champions.
