Fukuchiyo Shuzo in Kashima, Saga produces the celebrated Nabeshima brand, named after the feudal lords of Saga domain. In 2011, Nabeshima won the IWC Champion Sake trophy, catapulting this small Kyushu brewery to global fame. Toji Iimori Yoshiyuki creates rich, fruity, beautifully balanced sakes that defy the assumption that Kyushu only makes shochu.
