Aramasa is one of Japan's most revolutionary modern breweries. Under 8th-generation president Yusuke Sato, the brewery exclusively uses Kyokai No. 6 yeast (originally isolated at Aramasa in 1930), Akita-grown rice, and the labor-intensive kimoto method. Their avant-garde numbered series (No. 6, Colors, Private Lab) has redefined what sake can be.
